Today marks the start of Financial Literacy Week 2025 by the Reserve Bank of India. It is a yearly program designed to raise people’s awareness of financial matters. The campaign’s theme this year is “Financial Literacy – Women’s Prosperity,” and it runs from February 24 to 28.
Abhishek Mazumdar, General Manager, RBI Regional Office Itanagar, launched the campaign in Arunachal Pradesh today at a gathering held at the DK Convention Centre in Itanagar. Speaking on the event, Mr. Mazumdar stated that this year’s theme is centered around the financial and social empowerment of women. He requested that the bankers contact the clients and urge them to utilize all of the digital banking and financial applications that the banks and government have made available. He also asked them to create awareness about the risks and precautions while using these platforms.
As part of the campaign, banks have been instructed to spread awareness by displaying RBI-developed posters on their websites, ATMs, mobile applications, and display boards at their branches.
Sanjay Mishra, Deputy General Manager, NABARD Itanagar and representatives from various banks were present at the inaugural function.
