Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi scheme on Monday. He transferred over ₹22,000 crore to the bank accounts of 98 million farmers across India. Modi also launched several projects to boost Bihar’s infrastructure and economy during his visit. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar joined the Prime Minister at the event. Union ministers, MPs, MLAs, and officials from state and central ministries also attended. In his speech, Modi stressed the government’s strong support for farmers calling them India’s ‘annadatas’ (food providers). Earlier, Modi responded to a MyGovIndia post on X. He said, “We take immense pride in our annadatas and remain dedicated to enhancing their well-being.” The PM-KISAN scheme gives direct income support to farmers. It plays a key role in the government’s efforts to empower the farming community. This latest payment marks another big step to ensure financial stability for millions of farming families in India.
