
Today, the world celebrates International Women’s Day. President Droupadi Murmu will preside over a national-level conference on ‘Nari Shakti Se Viksit Bharat’ in New Delhi today to commemorate the event. Following the conference, there will be a high-level panel discussion and three technical breakout sessions. Minister of State for Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi will also attend the ceremony. To commemorate the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over his social media accounts for the day to remarkable women. Earlier, in his Mann Ki Baat address, Mr Modi asked women throughout India to share their remarkable life stories on the NaMo App Open Forum.
Today, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will also open an exhibition on women Constituent Assembly members at the Parliament House Complex. The exhibition aims to honor the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution. To honor the Day, the National Commission for Women, in partnership with the Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad, will hold the All India Women Advocates’ Conference today afternoon. The event will be centered on strategizing the expanded role of women in Resurgent Bharat, with women attorneys leading the way.
