After a pick-up van struck the scooter a Class-10 student was riding near Chandanguda in Odisha’s Malkangiri district, today, she lost her life and another suffered severe injuries.
The departed has been named Bikram Sardar. Padmagiri High School was his academic home. According to accounts, Bikram and his friend Tapas Sardar were on their way to an exam center in Serapali to show for the Matric test when the sad tragedy happened.
For Bikram, who passed away on the scene, the effect was fatal; Tapas received major injuries. He was taken for treatment to a nearby hospital under urgency. The incident has police looking into it.
